Customer Review: Nice Swivel Peeler

This swivel peeler was bought to replace my older and cheap peeler. Let me say, there is a night and day difference. My old peeler was your typical generic steel peeler with a steel handle. It felt small in my hands and after peeling a lot of vegetables, my hands felt like I went to the gym and lifted weights the entire day without a glove on.
The Henckels peeler though has a larger and longer handle which I like. It has a nice soft feel to it and felt very comfortable in my hand ergonomic wise. It is very sharp which is a plus when peeling, minimizing the effort needed. It does have a little heft/weight to it but for me, it just feels like solid construction. However, there are some who may not like heavier kitchen utensils (my mom comes to mind).
For those who may question whether this peeler is right for them due to it's size, here are some specs:
Overall length - 8"
Handle length - approximately 6"
Blade length - approximately 2" (actual cutting blade length = 1.75")
Handle thickness - approximately 0.75" at the top of the handle (where the blade is) flaring down to about 0.5" at the bottom.
Handle width - 0.75" wide at the top flaring to 1" at the bottom.
Weight - sorry, don't have a scale but I approximate it to be about 4 oz minimum (at least twice the weight of my old generic peeler).
I'm glad I made the switch over to this peeler. I would highly recommend.
