This is a great little set of knifes. The blades are very thin but made of a decent steel and the handles are quite ergonomic too. I had the one with the straight blade for almost 10 years (until my wife tried to shred it in the sink disposal). The handle was red and thinner than it's now but the blade was exactly the same.
It is actually the thin but sharp blade that makes them so useful for me. It makes them great for for tasks like peeling, cutting very small things (garlic), testing if potatoes are done, cutting pockets into a roast to insert garlic and herbs (the green one has an incredibly sharp tip) and cutting bad spots out of fruit and vegetables. Of course they are the wrong tool to cut vegetables into pieces, slice onions, tomatoes, meat or any other "bigger" task. For such things I would recommend buying a decent 7"/8" Chef's knife, probably not cheaper than $80.
But for what these three little knifes are they are really awesome, especially at that price!
