I had bought a cheap poultry shears not good this one that I bought is great I am very pleased , Rose Fritz after a year the blades became dull and did not stand up to the name I will try and sharpen them so I am rating it again in 20006 so I am dissapointed
Description of Henckels Black Poultry Shears
Balanced and powerful, these 10-inch shears have curved, high-carbon, stainless-steel blades for cutting apart poultry. One blade is notched to cut through bones easily. Handles are made of tough polypropylene and, for storage, they lock at their butt end with a short arm that swivels into place. The sturdy barrel spring between the blades ensures the blades move precisely. The blades themselves curve inward so they meet in only one place at any given position and cutting action is smooth and exact. Though they would go safely through a dishwasher, fine shears like these should be hand washed to protect the blades' edges. They carry a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred BrackShears
